Summary of Position

Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the Titanium Anodize and Passivation lines. Oversees daily workflow, ensures quality output per TOMZ’s master production schedule, and contributes to continuous improvement initiatives that boost capacity and safety.

Essential Functions

  • Line Operation & Maintenance
    • Operate Titanium Type III Anodize and Passivation lines, maximizing production and efficiency
    • Load/unload racks, ensure traceability, and complete associated paperwork
    • Monitor equipment for alarms to ensure uninterrupted operation and a safe working environment
    • Maintain detailed records and enter data into ERP system
  • Water Systems
    • Monitors the operation of the water treatment system, reverse osmosis system, ion exchange, and deionized water
  • Preventive Maintenance, Chemical Handling, and Safety
    • Perform and document daily/weekly/monthly PM tasks
    • Monitor equipment condition beyond scheduled PM
    • Maintain line cleanliness while complying with 5S + safety standards
    • Safely manage chemical additions and tank cleaning involving corrosive and toxic chemicals, as unused virgin substances and hazardous waste
    • Identify possible activities for improving environmental protection, safety, quality, or productivity as part of a continuous improvement culture
    • Maintain an adequate spare parts inventory in a cost-effective manner
  • Leadership, Coordination, Quality, and Process Control
    • Delegate tasks and guide team performance
    • Train technicians and communicate production goals
    • Support a collaborative and professional work culture
    • Resolve minor HR issues and enforce company policies
    • Ensure anodized color accuracy per customer specs
    • Conduct a visual inspection and determine rework or scrap
    • Partner with engineers for process development and testing
    • Adhere to TOMZ quality management system
  • Procurement and Inventory
    • Manage supplies
    • Collaborate with vendors and engineering on racking improvements
    • Diagnose and fix mechanical issues
  • Troubleshooting and Repairs
    • Coordinate with vendors for advanced support
    • Modify or install equipment for better sustainability
    • Diagnose and fix mechanical issues

Qualifications:

Education

  • High school diploma or GED. Manufacturing or Engineering background preferred.

Experience

  • 2+ years’ operating anodize/passivation lines (preferably in Medical Device or Aerospace), knowledge of GMP/ISO standards.

Physical Demands
