Summary of Position
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, this position will have direct responsibility for completing and managing all financial transactions through the completion and preparation of monthly financial statements, management of the office team, building accounting processes and implementing improvements.
Essential Functions
- Timely completion of month-end close and preparation of monthly financial statements
- Work with outside auditors for year-end financial audit and 401(k) audit
- Manage relationships with outside financial firms such as banks
- Develop accounting process documentation
- Recommend and implement process improvements
- Develop annual budget and monthly reporting of budget versus actual, investigating variances.
- Recommend and implement cost savings opportunities
- Management and development of office staff
- Preparation of tax documentation and 1099’s
- Develop and update standard labor and burden rates, and investigate monthly variances
- Lead annual physical inventory count process, and develop cycle count process
- Develop and manage KPI’s
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance and CPA
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience, preferably in a manufacturing company
- Strong leadership skills to develop staff and drive results (minimum 3 years of prior supervisory experience)
- Strong knowledge of ERP systems, Excel and financial reporting software
- Possess a high attention to detail.
- Exhibit good time management skills and ability to prioritize workload
- Motivated self-starter with ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills with superiors, peers, and subordinates
- Strong verbal and written English language communication skills
