SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Support the organization’s Grinding Department in production operations of complex medical devices, special and standard tool grinding. Work in cross functional teams to drive continuous improvement and ensure production objectives are met; including but not limited to set-up and operation of grinding machine(s) for production and new product development.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be familiar with cutting tools and with the operation of CNC machine tools and specifically grinders. Training will be provided in the actual use of the 6-axis tool grinder and the wheel dresser.
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent directly transferrable work experience. Experience in tool grinding or machining is preferred.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a precision manufacturing environment, preferably medical device manufacturing or similar.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, talk and/or hear, and/or use hands to finger, handle, or touch objects, tools, or controls. The employee is frequently required to stand, and/or walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds while moving components, fixtures, equipment and/or small packages. The mental and physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an individual to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
