SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The position is responsible to provide support and administrative assistance for the New Product Development Engineering team and work with cross-functional teams to ensure new projects and new revision products are appropriately reviewed and routed for approval.  

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    • New Project/Product Review
      • Review new drawings to identify specifications and subcomponent requirements and submit to Engineering for review
      • Collaborate with Engineering and customer teams to ensure completeness of the Design Transfer process
      • Coordinate with Engineering to build Bill of Materials and Methods of Manufacturing and other controls as required
      • Facilitate the ECO process to capture pertinent Development Engineering input and distribute for review as necessary 
    • New Revision Product Review
      • Review new revision drawings to identify changes to dimensional requirements, specifications, and/or subcomponent requirements and submit to Engineering for review
      • Coordinate with Engineering to modify the Bill of Materials and Methods of Manufacturing or other controls to account for changes from previous revisions.
      • Facilitate the ECO process to capture pertinent Development Engineering input and distribute for review as necessary 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent directly transferrable work experience (Manufacturing or Engineering discipline preferred).

 

Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience within a regulated industry (preferably in a Medical Device or Aerospace Manufacturer)

 

Preferred Skills/Qualifications

  • Must possess a high attention to detail
  • Ability to read drawings and specifications containing GD&T
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, and Adobe products
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced Medical Device Manufacturing environment with high output efficiency and impeccable quality standards
  • Exhibit good time management skills and ability to prioritize work flow throughout the day
  • Motivated self-starter with ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong verbal and written English language communication skills

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, talk and/or hear, and/or use hands to finger, handle, or touch objects, tools, or controls.  The employee is occasionally required to stand, and/or walk.  The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds while moving files or small packages.  The mental and physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an individual to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
